When we talk about partners, two obvious meanings are derived – one that means a life partner, can be a spouse, a live-in partner, a lover and the other that’s in the context of businesses.
And then, we have partner-in-crime. That’s the partner less talked about.
It’s not everyday that you can appreciate the work of a person you’ve always made fun of. And when the work is genuinely good, you have to take a step back, put your ego aside and give credit where it’s due.

Speaking about classics, my pick of the month happens to be another Yash Chopra movie – a cult classic now, it had flopped miserably in 1991.
Beyond fibromyalgia symptoms, short-stories and email writing, another thing did keep me busy and ate into my blogging hours in the last 10 days. A movie called Lamhe. I’ve been so hooked to it that I have watched it 3 times in 5 days.
I sulked, I ate even more, slept even more hours, was hit by insomnia on some nights, troubled stomach, indigestion, back-aches, strained neck. One day, I was not able to put a spoonful of food into my mouth, sitting at the dining table. I weighed 88 kilos now.
I was writing a blog post on an interesting topic “dormant” for a daily blogging challenge called Daily Prompt held …
Dormancy in life’s like a physical object mentioned by Newton. You’re permanently dormant in life unless you commit yourself to change that state, which kind of makes it not permanent. Contradicting, really.

Learning languages (or not learning) is a mindset problem. People with one mindset make efforts to learn it. Those with the other mindset don’t.
Will Mr. Kovind leave behind his RSS-BJP affiliation and rise above mediocrity or will he be another president who’ll use public funds to enjoy all the material facilities and perks that the post brings? Time will tell.
Some of us cringe when advertisements on television featuring our favorite actors preach the benefits of building a toilet at home. The middle classes and the rich wonder if the technology savvy India is really that backward! We can place 104 satellites in their orbits with precision but can’t build toilets for half a billion people.
That’s the irony of middle-class. They know to save and they know to enjoy life. They know to find large-sized happiness in smaller things of life. A box of crackers, a box of top-quality sweets, the best of the small cars, a stylish scooter that gives the best mileage, a 40-inch LED TV that we hope will last two decades and so on.
There’s nothing wrong in having a flag dedicated to the state. In fact, I believe every single state in India should be allowed to design and hoist their own flags next to the Indian flag.
We walked close to ten kilometres today, through a variety of localities, from the crowded Chickpete to the well planned Basavanagudi. I realized how I missed those walks. I realized the need to get back to photography, to fill these blogs with frames that capture the essence of this city, it’s energy and colours.
I believe every city has its own character. Cities are characterized by a synergy that exists between its peoples, cultures, food, economy, art, music and such things.
I guess the magic lies in the fact that freshers’ experience of the corporate world is from the outside – they don’t deal with ratings, promotions etc. They don’t stay with us long enough to see the ugly side.
She’d stick to me, just like she always had. She took my side even when I was wrong in my life only to put me back on the right track. She’d never question my decisions knowing that I’ll eventually learn things myself.
The removal of Hindi from signages symbolizes something more than what it seems. It marks the demand for true equality and justice for all languages of India.

A handful of forward thinkers can’t take decisions for the society. We should see if a society is ready for such a change.
